Calmr is a supportive space where children and teens learn to manage and master their anxiety.
We collaborate with families, helping reduce anxiety, build confidence and create a calmer environment.
Our approach
Through play, conversation, and consistent parent involvement, we create an environment where young people can understand and manage their anxiety with confidence. Julie’s background in school counselling and play therapy shapes the process, ensuring each step feels safe and practical.
How We Help Children Feel Safe and Confident
Our in-person sessions are held in a gentle, child-centred space designed to help young children feel safe and understood. Whether it be in Bondi Junction or even at your home, the session is designed for privacy and comfort, set up with puppets, figurines, and other play-based tools that make it easier for children to express their worries in their own way.
For teens, online sessions offer a relaxed space to unpack what is overwhelming them and learn practical tools for managing anxiety. Julie supports young people as they navigate school, friendships, and daily pressures, giving them a space where they feel heard and understood.
Parents stay closely involved through regular updates after each session, helping you continue the same language and strategies at home so your child feels supported between visits.
In-person and online options
Our practice is based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, where children under 12 join play-based face-to-face sessions. Teens and older children can meet either in person or online, giving them flexible access to specialised anxiety support no matter where they live.
